Personal:

Former cross country and track runner at Desert Hills High School. Happily married to my wonderful husband Trevor. I’ve overcome cancer twice, and I’m just trying to get back in to running shape again since finishing my treatments. Also studying digital design at DSU.

I felt really sick during this race and it didn't help that I started out way too fast. I can't wait for region to really take time off of it though and hopefully I'll be running varsity by then!

3 easy in the morning felt really good but I had a hard time in the afternoon. Fell behind from the group and started thinking negative and felt sick too.

Ran at Bloomington Hills park (region course) and did mile repeats. I had 2 and was supposed to hit 8:58 but I hit the times too fast. 8:00 for the first one and 8:53 for the second. Stomach hurt a little after my second but it wasn't too bad.

Had part of the Michigan workout today. I only did 1 mile on the track, 1 mile road then 400 M all out. The weather was really nice so that helped a lot. I still ran my miles too fast and I'm trying to work on that. I was supposed to hit 8:08 on the track and 9:08 on road but I hit 7:28 on the track and 8:10 on the road. It felt really easy though and I felt like I could have talked most of the time. My 400 was 1:23, maybe I'll get under 1:20 sometime...
