Easy 3 in the morning to the bridge and back.

Afternoon practice:

1.3 warm up down hidden valley road and back. 3 miles of Kenya run, or something like that. I thought we were going to all run together, so I hopped in behind Meghan and Darian, who followed the A-boys. We ran at a 10:00 pace, which was torture, because that's the pace the kills me most, it's just slow enough from what I'm starting to pace at lately... anyway, kept with the group just fine, 3 miles, happy day to run with the A-group, even if it was accidentally.

Easy 3 to the bridge and back this morning. 1 mile run in P.E. today, only 4 seconds from a PR, ran a 7:01 today, fastest runner in my class!

Afternoon practice:

Half mile warm up, then another 1.25 mile warm up for the speed workout, 1.75 in speed workouts, ran faster than we were supposed to and it felt really good. 4x200 repeats with 200 rest in between, 42, 49, 41, 42. 2x400 with a 400 rest in between, 1:42, 1:36.  A mile cool down. All in all, it felt like a really accomplishing day, and I love the feeling of running this much, oh yeah, meanwhile I'm sick today too, so that makes it all the more better.

3 miles in the morning.

4 miles in  afternoon practice, I think towards Little Valley and back.  Really windy, it felt good on the way there, but on the way back my pace dropped from running against the wind.  It felt really good today.

Had a track meet at Snow Canyon High School today.  We ran a half mile warm up before the 1600 meter.  I tried to pace myself in the race, but the last lap I fell back a little bit.  Still felt really good because I beat my goal (6:55) for this race.  Later ran a mile cool down then after the longest 5 hours of my life, ran the 3200 meter race. First ran about a mile warm up.  I wasn't sure what to expect from this race, but I feel like it was a good start.  I ended up running with a girl from I think Canyon View.  I fell back on the 7th lap, I think it's mainly mentality that I need to work on during my races.  Afterwards ran 2 laps around the turf.

I ran an easy 3 around 9 in the morning with the dog.  Just a little note, don't take the leash off at the park.  Nobody was at Little Valley except maintenance people, but as soon as I took the leash off animal control came around the corner.  The guy only told me her leash had to be on, but a little embarrassing because she doesn't come when called.... anyway....

Around 3 I ran to Hidden Valley Park, because my family and I were going there to have family night around 4.  I ended up combining to of our runs together kind of, because it's not exactly 4 miles.  I ran out from my neighborhood and took Tamarisk into Bloomington Hills and past the High School.  Then from there I ran the Hidden Valley run. 37:59, 9:15 pace.  I still had another quarter mile and did my 6, 100 meter strides.  5 of them were 21 seconds and the last was 20 seconds.

1 mile warm up, then 4 2:00 hard 2:00 easy.  Then a 1 mile cool down.  It wasn't too bad, but I would run down one hill and run up the other to go around a block in my neighborhood since that was about a quarter mile.  Tiring to go uphill, but I figured it'd be a good way to tie in a hill workout, hopefully it pays off in the end.

I didn't go running until 7 in the evening... and didn't feel like dealing with stoplights so I ended up running to Summit and back.  Found out it's exactly 2 miles from my house.  My first mile was 8:30, and I felt like I could have easily kept that, but it didn't happen. Had stomach aches through my run, didn't feel that great today.  I've decided I hate running by myself, I psych myself out too much.  I was running up River Road right after the stoplight to turn to Summit and I saw some guy on the other side.  Just picked up my pace a little, and so did he. When he crossed the street I took off and ran up farther. Stopped at the top of the hill and he went into the neighborhood, but when he passed he was like, "Jeez, didn't need to run so fast." Creepy... Hopefully tomorrow's a better run.
