Personal:
Former cross country and track runner at Desert Hills High School. Happily married to my wonderful husband Trevor. I’ve overcome cancer twice, and I’m just trying to get back in to running shape again since finishing my treatments. Also studying digital design at DSU.
2 mile warm up, 1 1000, 4:06, and 1 200, 46. 1 mile cool down. I don't know what's wrong but I will hit my times this week. Frustrated with both throwing and running today.
Today was probably the greatest run I have had in quite a while. It was so nice to run with people and the weather was perfect. 2 mile warm up with Courtney. It was fast but I was able to talk and I am trying to work on going a faster pace to control my breathing better. Had a Fartlek workout and I think that went well. The second 2 minute was hard, so I need to work on stamina too. Jogged back to the start then did a mile cool down with Laynee. It was nice to not feel so exhausted after practice today too.
Fast on the 200's by a couple seconds both times then missed my 800 by 10 seconds. I'm trying to get better at it, but I really need to work on keeping a pace and my form. I didn't realize how a such a small thing could really impact how you do until this year. I'm going to focus even more on standing up straighter when I run.
